The first edition of “Pescando para Salvar Vidas” is on August 8 at Playa Migriño. A shoreline fishing tournament held during Mes del Bombero, raising funds to strengthen the fire department’s equipment. Anglers fish from shore with rod or lure, entry is 600 pesos, and minors are welcome to compete. A guaranteed 80,000 peso purse goes to the top three, plus jackpots along the way. Lines out at 6:00 AM, weigh-in closes at 11:00 AM. Registration is open at the Bomberos Cabo San Lucas central station and at Yuka’s Sportfishing.
